Balinese Offerings

The thing that I probably liked most of Bali, the one that surprised me and I enjoyed looking at every day was how Balinese people relate to their religion.

Despite the tourism has been invading the small island for years now, rituals and traditions seem to stay alive and strong.

Meticulous offerings are layed every day on every statue; frangipani flowers on every stone hand or face; incence is lit and time spent in prayers.

Somehow these islanders seem to find a good compromise between “the white man new colonization” and preserving their own culture.
